About The Company
Our client has quickly become one of the premier suppliers in Australia as well as internationally for all powertrain components across the mining and extensive material handling industries. Since beginning their operations in 2018 in Mackay, they have a reputation for providing unequalled support across the globe, specialising in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of powertrain components out of heavy mobile and fixed plant heavy equipment.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to network with new suppliers, both local and offshore. The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for all Inventory related matters including process improvements and other requirements with procurements/shipping.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory purchasing and negotiation
- Networking for new suppliers (local and offshore)
- Negotiating better buying powers
- Implementing systems for process improvements
- Travel to suppliers when needed (local and offshore)
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience in inventory procurement and planning
- Strong understanding of H-S Codes and taxes
- Strong understanding of duties with offshore procurement and shipping
- Certificate or Degree in Logistics
- Strong Attention to detail
- Fluent English in both Written and Spoken
- Current driver's licence and passport
