About The Opportunity

In the clinical studies industry, Doctors are termed ‘Investigators’ and our client is now seeking a highly motivated Investigator to join their team. You will be responsible for leading a clinical study that is compliant with international standards. You will contribute to confirming the feasibility of clinical studies and conduct and oversee assigned clinical studies ensuring:

  • Ethical approval is obtained and the consent process is followed
  • Input is provided to the strategy for recruiting patients
  • The safety and well-being of all patients is safeguarded
  • Recording of study data is accurate, ensuring data integrity
  • Management of investigational products is appropriate
  • All staff assigned to the clinical study are trained on the study and tasks are delegated appropriately
  • Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders are developed and maintained

About You 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current registration or be in the process of obtaining with the NZ Medical Council OR meet the criteria set out under the special purpose scope for research
  • Experience with clinical studies would be desirable but not essential
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead by example and provide clear direction
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements associated with the dynamic nature of clinical studies

You will also have:

  • Excellent administration and computing skills
  • High attention to detail and adherence to good documentation practices
  • Fundamental principles of business
  • High degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
