About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the operational administration and day-to-day management of the GirlGuiding New Zealand properties to ensure they are well-maintained, safe, and accessible for use by Guiding members and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operational requirements of properties across NZ
  • Supporting and overseeing Volunteer Facility Coordinators in property management
  • Coordinating procurement of suppliers, contractors, and facilities hire
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of property policies and strategic plans
  • Monitoring property condition, use, and performance, ensuring maintenance plans are in place
  • Overseeing the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance within budget
  • Supporting the property rationalisation programme as required
  • Managing non-property assets such as trailers and outdoor equipment
  • Ensuring health and safety plans are in place and complied with by staff, contractors, and users
  • Actively participating in the financial management of the property portfolio, including invoice processing

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in property or facilities management in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of facilities management, buildings, and maintenance
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills
  • Collaborative working style with proven relationship-building experience
  • Confidence working with remote teams and using virtual conference tools
  • A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of girls and young women (desirable)
