About The Opportunity
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project costs from start to finish. You will be responsible for estimating and tendering, contract administration, and ensuring accurate cost control and budget monitoring. This is a dynamic and engaging role that offers the opportunity for growth and development.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Tendering and management of build contract
- Monthly reporting to the management team of projects
- Liaise and work with the Project Team during construction
- Procurement and administration of subcontractors and suppliers
- Take off measurements, areas and quantities for design/drawings
- Producing accurate subcontract tender analysis, progress reports and cost reports
- Compile, maintain and update the directory of supplies, contractors and subcontractors
- Preparing all trade packages for tender including negotiating contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to liaise with people at different levels
You will also have:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work
- An ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
