About The Opportunity

The role is for an environmental scientist, hydrogeologist or engineer to help deliver a growing portfolio of projects in the following areas:

  • Groundwater monitoring program implementation
  • Contaminated land site assessment and remediation
  • Decommissioning and rehabilitation
  • Renewables and new fuels

This role will include a mix of office and field-based work, which may require travel to regional areas and some interstate travel. The ideal candidate will live in Perth/Fremantle but we would consider someone in a regional area with the right set-up. Some of your responsibilities would include:

  • Coordination and implementation of environmental field programs, such as soil assessment and sampling, groundwater and surface water monitoring
  • Management and analysis of environmental investigation data, including groundwater, surface water, and soil data
  • Reviewing technical guidance, regulations, and case studies
  • Preparing various written deliverables, including monitoring reports, environmental assessments, and proposals
  • Providing advice on approvals and compliance based on regulations and industry guidelines
  • Supervising subcontractors during field activities.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in environmental roles, with experience in groundwater and soil sampling
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in soil science, hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental engineering or related field
  • A developing understanding of environmental and resource regulations
  • Australian driver's license and full working rights in Australia or New Zealand

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent technical writing and oral presentation abilities
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategy into practical plans
  • Capability to work independently while collaborating with peers when needed
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
