About You
The successful candidate will have:
- CPA or CA qualification
- 6+ years of strong public practice experience
- Experience with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and Practice Ignition software
- Advanced knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Business acumen - demonstrated business experience and exceptional interpersonal skills
You will also have:
- A proven track record in managing staff and driving team performance
- The ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team environment
- Excellent English communication skills
About The Opportunity
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering top-notch accounting and taxation services to clients. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Develop financial strategies for client wealth creation and protection
- Prepare and manage accounts, income tax returns, and BAS returns
- Perform trust and company establishments and manage registrations
- Support outsourced service providers with SMSF accounts and audits
- Assist with new business development and client educational initiatives
- Work with the Principal to manage workload scheduling and client interactions
- Provide virtual CFO services and deliver written advice under Australian tax law
- Preparation of budget forecasts and cash flow for clients along with in-depth analysis of management reports
- Manage and administer a portfolio of clients. Providing technical support, feedback and guidance to team members assisting with your clients
- Support the Principal in providing international written advice to clients utilizing the OECD model convention and Australian residency-based provisions of the tax act
