About The Company

Our client is a locally owned and operated electrical contracting company established in 2006 in the remote regional town of Kununurra, Western Australia. They proudly service not only Kununurra but also attend to remote communities from Wyndham to Kalumburu and beyond within the Kimberley. They offer comprehensive services in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations and maintenance and their mission is to deliver outstanding customer service while remaining competitively priced, providing obligation-free quotations to keep their clients fully informed.

About The Opportunity

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing and running their electrical contracting business, overseeing a team of up to 10 staff. Your role will involve both leadership and hands-on work, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Managing operational budgets and ensuring financial accountability
  • Leading and managing a dedicated team of electricians and support staff
  • Fostering a positive team culture and encouraging professional development
  • Implementing testing and commissioning procedures for electrical installations
  • Overseeing electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors
  • Directly engaging in on-site work as required, ensuring quality and safety standards are met

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A valid WA electrical licence (preferred) and nominees licence
  • Proven experience in managing staff and a broad range of electrical work
  • A solid understanding of testing and commissioning procedures for electrical installations
  • Strong reliability, effective communication skills, and a commitment to honesty and hard work
  • At least 7 years of experience in the electrical trade, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
