About The Company
Our Client is a boutique, local consultancy firm that partners with businesses and brokers to provide independent advice and programmes in risk and workers compensation claims. They are dedicated to delivering agile and bespoke solutions that allow their clients to focus on their core business.
About The Opportunity
As an Injury Management Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for employers and injured workers in matters related to injury management.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of workplace injuries
- Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of injury management plans
- Providing guidance to employers on injury prevention strategies and suitable duties
- Liaising with insurance providers, rehabilitation providers, and other relevant parties
- Collaborating with medical professionals to develop customised injury management plans
- Educating employers and employees on their rights and obligations under relevant legislation
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles
- Proven experience in injury management, workers' compensation, or related fields
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- An analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex injury cases and develop appropriate management strategies
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology, or a related field
You will also have:
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Proactive communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- 1+ year of experience in injury management or rehabilitation counselling
