About The Opportunity
They are seeking a Growing Manager for their Berries and Hydroponic Growing Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall crop production of their hydroponically grown raspberries and strawberries. As they expand their operations, your expertise will be vital in maintaining high standards of plant health and productivity. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying potential crop issues early and implementing effective solutions
- Maintaining accurate records of crop performance and health assessments
- Assisting in the planning and expansion of hydroponic systems on the farm
- Monitoring plant health from planting to harvest, ensuring optimal growth conditions
- Collaborating with experienced farmers and agronomists to enhance crop management practises
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven ability to monitor and assess plant health effectively
- Experience in managing crop production, preferably in berries or tomatoes
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in hydroponic growing systems
- Formal qualifications in Horticulture and hydroponics (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience with raspberry and strawberry crops (advantageous but not essential)
