About The Opportunity
They are currently seeking a dedicated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their team and take charge of maintaining and repairing our extensive fleet of machinery, which includes Loaders, Excavators, Bobcats, Prime Movers, and smaller trucks and trailers. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting diagnostics and repairs to various plant, fleet, and mechanical equipment in the workshop and on-site during breakdowns.
- Sourcing and arranging parts, as well as coordinating with outside mechanics and contractors for repairs.
- Communicating effectively with team members and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Managing and executing maintenance and repair schedules for vehicles and machines.
- Utilising initiative to ensure maintenance is conducted efficiently and proactively.
- Maintaining accurate records and paperwork for service and repair reports.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience with hydraulics and familiarity with machinery brands such as Komatsu, Sumitomo, and Volvo.
- Good communication skills and a dedication to maintaining high standards of work.
- Qualifications as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with strong mechanical aptitude.
- A valid White Card and a current driver’s licence with reliable transportation.
- A proactive approach to work and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A current HR/HC Truck Licence is preferred.
