About The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, (or Manager if you’re up for it), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to a diverse client base.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Compiling/reviewing annual financial statements for various entities including Companies, Trusts, Sole Traders, and Partnerships
• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting working papers, ensuring accurate financial reporting to clients and stakeholders
• Designing specialised Excel spreadsheets tailored to client needs
• Ensuring compliance with Inland Revenue obligations and streamlining internal processes for clients
• Providing comprehensive taxation services, including preparation of tax returns and advising clients on tax liabilities
• Managing client relationships and liaising with the Inland Revenue Department on behalf of clients
• Assisting clients with financial planning through budgets, cash flow forecasts, and specialised advice

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a similar Accounting role in the public sector 
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• CA Qualification or equivalent experience in accounting
• Strong communication skills for effective client interactions
• High proficiency in Xero, Excel, Word, and relevant data software

You will also have:

• A proactive approach to identifying and solving accounting and financial challenges
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
