About The Opportunity

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Matching colours accurately and consistently across batches and parts.
• Performing regular maintenance of spray painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Cleaning, sanding, and preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring all surfaces are free from defects prior to painting.
• Conducting regular checks on painted products to ensure compliance with quality standards, addressing any defects immediately.
• Maintaining accurate records of work done, materials used, and any issues encountered for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
• Applying industrial coatings to various metal components using spray guns and other painting equipment to ensure a high-quality finish that meets stringent specifications.
• Adhering to all safety protocols including the handling and disposal of hazardous materials, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a safe working environment.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A certificate or diploma or equivalent industry experience.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes and the ability to troubleshoot painting issues effectively.
• The physical fitness required to work in various positions including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 kg.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, particularly with respect to handling paints and solvents.
• Proficiency in using various types of spray painting equipment including manual, automatic, and HVLP systems.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in industrial spray painting, preferably within manufacturing or automotive industries.

You will also have:

• The ability to pass a police check.
• Willingness to travel to QLD for Cerakote training.
• Experience with powder coating and knowledge of different paint systems and their specific applications.
