About The Company

Our Client has been a trusted provider of dog training and care services for over a decade in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. With a strong focus on training, socialisation, and care for dogs, they have expanded their services to include Doggy Day School, Training Walks, Farm Trips, Boarding, and Puppy Classes. Their Day School operates within the Rose Bay Veterinary Hospital, and their farm trips offer a unique experience for dogs at their 100-acre facility in the Southern Highlands.

About The Opportunity

As a Dog Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering effective training programs tailored to the needs of both dogs and their owners. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Educating dog owners to successfully maintain training schedules for ongoing success
  • Implementing behavioural modification techniques within structured training programs
  • Videoing training sessions for owners to enhance learning and understanding
  • Managing and delivering quality outcomes for individual training sessions
  • Achieving dog training sales goals and driving sales initiatives
  • Recording and documenting training plans and session notes
  • Building and maintaining comprehensive client databases

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional dog training experience, including work with families and individuals
  • Accredited Dog Training Qualifications (e.g., Cert IV in Animal Behaviour & Training) or nearing completion
  • Proven ability to implement training strategies based on established animal behaviour methodologies
  • Fundamental administration skills, including sales and training record maintenance
  • A passion for providing solutions and superior customer service to dog owners
  • Strong communication skills to convey the benefits of training to clients
  • Strong decision-making abilities to achieve positive training outcomes
  • A positive, open-minded attitude with a collaborative team spirit
