Our client, Pacific Commissioning are seeking an Associate level Engineer to join their Auckland Commissioning team. Pacific are New Zealand’s largest and most experienced Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) and Commissioning Management provider involved in delivery of some of New Zealand’s most iconic construction projects across a vast range of sectors including: Commercial Construction, Healthcare, Data Centres, Education and Industrial. 

About The Opportunity

As an Associate Engineer, you will collaborate with the Senior Associate to provide commissioning management services on projects throughout the Auckland region, as well as some nationwide construction projects.

Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Reviewing engineering designs for commission-ability
• Writing Commissioning Specifications and Plans
• Developing Commissioning Programmes
• Collaborating with building services subcontractors to establish commissioning methodologies
• Managing life safety systems integrated testing
• Conducting onsite observation and reporting of construction installations
• Witnessing and reporting on contractor commissioning and testing
• Leading commissioning teams on complex and challenging projects
• Assisting in the development and mentoring of junior engineers

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years of building services and commissioning management experience
• Engineering or construction-based degree qualification
• Advanced Level Microsoft Application skills
• Construction Industry experience

You will also possess:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong desire for continuous learning and development
• The ability to work well in a team with a customer-focused mindset
• Organisational skills and self-motivation
