About The Opportunity
As the Business Development and Sales Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing retail operations and expanding our market reach. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients across the South and North Islands.
- Identifying new business opportunities and conducting sales presentations.
- Negotiating contracts and closing deals with potential clients.
- Providing training to clients on optimising their grinding systems with MDT products.
- Managing a small team and motivating them for optimal performance.
- Handling logistics related to sales, including order processing and inventory management.
- Utilising Cin7 and Xero software for effective inventory and financial management.
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets through the development of strategic sales plans.
- Executing monthly marketing campaigns to enhance brand presence.
- Driving business development efforts to expand into supermarket chains and other markets.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven track record in sales and customer service
- Experience within construction, industrial products, or coatings markets (desirable)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales management tools
