About The Opportunity
The organisation is currently experiencing significant growth and is actively seeking a Special Class Electrician (Automation) to join their dynamic team. This role will primarily involve supporting the site maintenance team by addressing machinery breakdowns and providing automation support through electrical, electronic, and mechanical diagnostics and repairs. The position is a dayshift role that involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial and automation equipment to ensure the smooth operation of 24-hour processing facilities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the site maintenance team with machinery breakdowns and routine maintenance
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
- Collaborating with team members to enhance operational efficiency
- Being available for a rostered call-out support schedule
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A valid 'A Grade Electrical License'
- Certification in Industrial Automation
- Experience in the industrial manufacturing industry
- Previous roles as the primary maintenance electrician at a manufacturing site
- A strong background in industrial automation
- Experience with PLCs, VSDs, and remote I/Os
- A White Card and EWP License
