About The Opportunity

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support to individuals, families, and teams. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for clients. 
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behaviour change.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interventions.
  • Providing training and guidance to families and caregivers to empower them in managing behaviours effectively.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support strategies and making necessary adjustments.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored behaviour support plans.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant qualification in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and best practices.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.  
  • Must have a core or proficient status with the NDIS and a practitioner NDIS Identification number.
  • Minimum 2 Years experience with practical hands-on working experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner within the NDIS.
