About The Opportunity
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support to individuals, families, and teams. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for clients.
- Implementing evidence-based interventions to promote positive behaviour change.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interventions.
- Providing training and guidance to families and caregivers to empower them in managing behaviours effectively.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behaviour support strategies and making necessary adjustments.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored behaviour support plans.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support principles and best practices.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Must have a core or proficient status with the NDIS and a practitioner NDIS Identification number.
- Minimum 2 Years experience with practical hands-on working experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner within the NDIS.
