About The Company

Our client is a family-owned Australian company founded over 38 years ago. They specialise in the design and manufacture of quality, high-performance bulk materials handling equipment for the agricultural, industrial, and manufacturing industries. In addition to their extensive range of standard equipment, they custom design and manufacture equipment.

About The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual with a mechanical mindset to join a busy manufacturing workshop — full training provided, no formal qualifications needed.

Reporting to the Production Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components to new machinery
  • Performing commissioning, start-up, and fault diagnosis of new machinery
  • Conducting routine maintenance on light vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and other mobile workshop equipment
  • Working on a variety of tasks, including the installation of new engines, powerpacks, drivelines, hydraulic circuits, and wiring harnesses
  • Maintaining a small fleet of petrol and diesel vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment
  • Potentially mentoring and training apprentices and labourers as required

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
  • Methodical and flexible approach to tasks
  • Willingness to work overtime as required
  • High attention to detail, ensuring quality standards in all work performed
  • Occasional travel for installation and service work may be required (desirable but not essential)
