About The Opportunity
As the Director’s right hand, you’ll oversee the rhythm of daily operations, staff leadership, and deal flow, ensuring the business runs at its best. But this role is about more than management. With the company poised for its next exciting stage of growth, you’ll support the Director’s vision with your entrepreneurial drive, helping turn strategy into impact and ambition into achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading day-to-day operations, workflow, and team performance
- Managing staff meetings, training, and performance reviews
- Running the WIP and ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to standard
- Sitting in on client meetings, taking notes, and ensuring follow-through
- Overseeing loan packaging and stepping in when deals require structuring support
- Managing lender relationships, scenarios, and pricing negotiations
- Keep Apply Online and Mercury software up to date and compliance watertight
- Overseeing commissions, credit reports, alerts, and follow-ups
- Project managing discharges, post-settlement care, and team workflow
- Supporting customer contact for pre-approvals, arrears, and retention
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in the mortgage broking environment
- Experience in all aspects of the loan process, from application to settlement
- Previous people and operational management skills or a willingness to step up
- The ability to manage workflow, pipelines, and project deadlines
- Experience with software such as Mercury, Apply Online, etc.
- High-level communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving ability to keep deals moving and clear bottlenecks
- A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on structure and results
