Shape Your Career with Pathways into Admin, Mechanical, or Farm Management
About The Company
Our client is a cornerstone of the Australian macadamia industry, managing every stage of the process — from growing and harvesting to processing and distribution. Based at their state-of-the-art Bundaberg facility, this role supports a critical point in the supply chain: the intake and assessment of harvested macadamia nuts from both company-owned farms and local growers. With a strong reputation for delivering premium quality and maximising grower returns, the business offers an exciting, fast-paced environment and a culture that values people, innovation, and long-term growth.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate inbound logistics and oversee the quality sampling of macadamia shipments — ensuring smooth intake operations, accurate processing, and strong communication across teams.
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating truck movements, delivery scheduling, and intake logistics to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Conducting quality sampling in line with strict protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Managing the intake process during high-volume periods, including handling multiple truck arrivals and associated paperwork.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including the Area Manager, General Manager, processing team, growers, and transport partners.
- Addressing real-time issues with a practical and solution-focused approach to minimise disruption.
About You
The successful candidate will bring a proactive mindset, logistical awareness, and a team-first attitude. Specifically, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in logistics coordination, transport scheduling, or intake operations — ideally in agriculture, FMCG, or processing environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to follow procedures and identify inconsistencies.
- Calm, clear-headed communication skills under pressure, particularly when coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to anticipate and resolve operational challenges.
- At least two years of experience in a logistics or coordination role, preferably in a rural or agricultural setting.
- A collaborative, dependable work ethic and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
What’s In It For You?
- A competitive salary package of $70,000 + super, with flexibility based on experience.
- Immediate start available for the right candidate.
- Off-season flexibility, with the option of extended time off or additional duties across farms or operations.
- A supportive, family-friendly culture where your contribution is valued.
- Real career progression opportunities, with future pathways into admin, mechanical work, or farm management.
- An engaging, hands-on role where no two days are the same — perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.
