Intermediate Accountant

This is an on site position and the primary purpose is to provide high-quality business services and tax compliance support to clients while developing skills in business advisory. Reporting directly to the Principal, some of your responsibilities will include:

• BAS, IAS, and FBT return preparation and lodgement
• Assisting in business advisory and financial planning services
• Reviewing and adjusting client bookkeeping and payroll records
• Researching tax and compliance matters and liaising with the ATO
• Writing management reports and assisting in business plan development
• Engaging directly with clients via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, SMSFs, and partnerships

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and HandiSoft
• A completed tertiary qualification in Accounting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
• 2-5 years of local experience in business services and taxation
• CA or CPA qualification (or currently studying towards completion)
