About The Opportunity

In the role of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, commissioning, and servicing all types of refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Carrying out work in compliance with New Zealand codes, regulations, and client specifications
• Performing service work and maintaining communication with the Service Manager regarding project progress and additional requirements
• Supporting the residential installation team with technical aspects and commissioning of air conditioning systems
• Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and replacement work in a timely manner
• Completing administrative tasks related to job assignments, including job notes and parts/materials allocation
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and providing leadership to junior staff
• Adhering to health and safety procedures while maintaining a professional work environment

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
• Proven experience in the installation and servicing of HVACR systems
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
• Excellent communication skills 
• A willingness to participate in on-call after-hours service work
