About The Opportunity
In the role of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, commissioning, and servicing all types of refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Carrying out work in compliance with New Zealand codes, regulations, and client specifications
- Performing service work and maintaining communication with the Service Manager regarding project progress and additional requirements
- Supporting the residential installation team with technical aspects and commissioning of air conditioning systems
- Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and replacement work in a timely manner
- Completing administrative tasks related to job assignments, including job notes and parts/materials allocation
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and providing leadership to junior staff
- Adhering to health and safety procedures while maintaining a professional work environment
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
- Proven experience in the installation and servicing of HVACR systems
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to participate in on-call after-hours service work
