About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional and responsive customer service support to clients and transport partners. This is a role that requires energy, speed, and clear communication as you manage multiple touchpoints across phone, email, and digital systems.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer phone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Handling spreadsheet and data entry tasks using Google Sheets and Excel
- Coordinating follow-up communications related to delivery statuses
- Ensuring clear, structured communication across all channels
- Liaising with partners to solve delivery issues and challenges
- Preparing and providing accurate freight quotes
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in the transport industry, or at minimum solid exposure (e.g. working for a carrier, broker, or in a despatch role)
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to structure emails professionally
- A team-focused mindset, capable of thriving in a small customer service team of three
- High speed and confidence using computers, particularly Excel and Google Sheets
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent keyboard skills and knowledge of shortcuts to enhance efficiency
- A comfort with numbers and calculations, including using freight rates
