About The Opportunity
As an Accountant reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting functions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements. You will also provide strategic support to align with the group's goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and conducting reviews prior to submission
- Performing end-of-month data entry and related reconciliations
- Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts across multiple entities
- Conducting cash flow forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling
- Reviewing and submitting BAS/IAS for multiple entities
- Conducting cost control, analysis and support payroll functions
- Utilising cost accounting expertise to improve internal processes
- Preparing external reports for third parties
- Providing general administrative support and maintaining control systems
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce and undertaking post-graduate study as a CA/CPA
- Experience in Management Accounting or a Cost Accounting role is essential
- A strong commitment to using your knowledge to assist stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ownership of results
- A proactive approach to tackling challenges in a dynamic business environment
- Experience in the automotive industry (advantageous)
