About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy diesel vehicles and equipment, including trucks and trailers.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing job cards and managing workflow administration tasks
  • Performing repairs using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Staying updated on new technologies and best practices in heavy vehicle mechanics
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used, and services performed
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve service goals and meet customer expectations
  • Servicing and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and trailers to industry safety standards
  • Conducting comprehensive diagnostic work to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • A reliable work ethic and a commitment to safety and service excellence
  • Manual driver’s licence, HC Licence (for road testing) and AC Licence (desirable)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience working on heavy diesel trucks
