About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and professional operation of the medical reception area, providing an exceptional first point of contact for all patients and stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Issuing invoices and processing patient billing
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
• Greeting patients and callers courteously and efficiently
• Managing appointment bookings to ensure timely service
• Coordinating communication with referring doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Training in CPR, triage or emergency response
• Strong attention to detail and respect for confidentiality
• Experience using Medical Director or similar medical software
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical receptionist or secretarial role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care
• An accredited medical receptionist course or strong knowledge of medical terminology
