About The Company
Our client is a unique, brand-new, multidisciplinary health service—the first of its kind in Australia—dedicated to delivering inclusive, person-centred, integrated healthcare to sexuality and gender-diverse (LGBTQ+) individuals across NSW. With a strong focus on community-informed service design, the organisation offers a range of high-demand services including general practice, mental health, sexual health, gender-affirming care, drug health, and child and family services. Care is delivered by a dedicated team of general practitioners, allied health professionals, and specialists in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment.
About The Opportunity
This is a temporary, full-time role working 38 hours per week, commencing on 14th July and concluding on 14th October.
The primary purpose of this position is to be the first point of contact for clients and visitors at the health centre, creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all. You will contribute significantly to smooth clinic operations by coordinating appointments and supporting clinical teams with vital administrative tasks, ensuring that all clients—especially those from LGBTQ+ communities—receive respectful and person-centred care.
Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting clinicians with administrative workflows
- Upholding a safe and respectful environment for all clients
- Preparing and maintaining patient records and correspondence
- Providing a professional and inclusive welcome at the front desk
- Managing appointment bookings, rescheduling, and cancellations
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills
- A proactive, respectful, and team-oriented approach to work
- A strong alignment with the organisation’s mission and values
- A commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate service
- 2+ years’ experience in a medical reception or front-line administrative role
