About The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity is available for a practical, hands-on Mechanic to join a busy manufacturing workshop. This role suits someone with a strong mechanical mindset who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working across automotive and industrial equipment.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components for new machinery
- Commissioning, start-up testing, and fault diagnosis of manufactured equipment
- Performing maintenance on light vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and workshop machinery
- Installing engines, powerpacks, drivelines, hydraulic circuits, and wiring harnesses
- Assisting with workshop improvements, quality control, and safe work practices
- Supporting installation and service work, including occasional site travel when required
Full training is provided, and formal trade qualifications are not essential for the right hands-on candidate.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Mechanical experience across vehicles, machinery, or industrial equipment (desirable)
- A practical, methodical approach to tasks and fault-finding
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Flexibility to assist with overtime and varied tasks when required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and upskill
