About The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Fitter & Turner / Machinist to join a busy manufacturing workshop.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating manual machining equipment including centre lathes, milling, drilling, and slotting machines
  • Establishing work procedures and methods for unique projects
  • Working autonomously to complete machining and fitting tasks to high standards
  • Maintaining high attention to detail in all work performed
  • Ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Trade certificate or equivalent experience as a Fitter and Turner
  • Demonstrated experience in manual machining (centre lathes, milling, drilling, slotting)

Skills & Attributes:

  • High attention to detail and quality of work
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills (desirable)
  • Experience with basic hydraulics and Mig welding (desirable)
