About The Company

Our client is a highly respected Sydney-based Pain Specialist with a strong focus on cancer-related pain and complex care across several hospital sites. Renowned for his exceptional clinical work and deep compassion, he is now seeking a dedicated and professional Personal Assistant to help manage the operational side of his work and contribute to the quality care his patients receive.

About The Opportunity

This part-time role offers genuine flexibility, requiring approximately 10 hours per week, working 2 hours per day from Monday to Friday. While much of the work can be done remotely, the successful applicant must be Sydney-based and available to occasionally work face-to-face with the doctor and his family.

In this trusted position, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the doctor with personal family-related tasks and coordination
  • Tracking outstanding accounts and supporting the processing of invoices
  • Liaising with NDIS coordinators and supporting the coordination of care services
  • Preparing documentation and templated correspondence for insurers and case managers
  • Liaising with the current secretary to ensure smooth patient handovers and continuity of care
  • Coordinating patient communications, appointment scheduling, and post-procedure follow-ups
  • Assisting with administrative coordination across hospital sites and managing ad hoc external tasks (e.g., liaising with website providers)

About You

You will be someone who brings maturity, discretion and professionalism to everything you do. A respectful and compassionate communication style is essential, as is the ability to work independently.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and general digital systems
  • A well-organised, proactive approach and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm, tactful and courteous demeanour
  • The ability to manage time autonomously within a remote working environment
  • Previous experience in a personal assistant or medical administration role (not essential)
