About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to operate excavators across multiple civil projects with precision, efficiency, and safety, delivering high-quality results.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating excavators (5–30 tonne) with a strong focus on final trim work using GPS systems
  • Reading and interpreting site plans and drawings
  • Performing detailed earthworks, trenching, and grading to precise specifications
  • Conducting pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
  • Collaborating with supervisors and crew to meet project deadlines and quality standards
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS standards and maintaining a clean, safe worksite

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a final trim excavator operator in civil construction
  • Strong competency with GPS systems for fine grading
  • Experience with stormwater installation
  • Strong focus on detail, safety, and quality outcomes
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

You will also have:

  • Excavator ticket and White Card
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • HR licence and/or other relevant tickets desirable
