About The Opportunity
As the Trade Sales Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for trade customers. Your role will focus on providing technical advice, preparing quotes, and supporting customers’ success with effective landscaping solutions.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Handling technical enquiries via email, phone, and in-store
- Preparing and following up on quotes to secure new and repeat business
- Producing irrigation designs and BOMs (training provided)
- Serving walk-in customers in the trade shopfront
- Planning and executing Supplier Training Days and Trade BBQs with team support
- Representing the business at trade expos
- Staying up to date with the latest supplier products and innovations
- Building relationships with trade clients and premium suppliers to expand offerings
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years in a trade background and be ready to move off the tools or a similar trade-based sales role
- Experience in the landscaping trade with technical knowledge of irrigation (desirable)
- Relevant trade qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional approach
- Computer literacy and the ability to manage quotes, enquiries, and follow-ups
- Initiative, autonomy, and a drive to grow the business as if it were your own
- A customer-focused attitude and the ability to build long-term relationships
