About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to drive efficient financial and HR operations while enhancing project financial oversight through accurate forecasting, expense alignment with estimating, and clear budget reporting.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with estimating teams to ensure alignment of expense categories
- Managing payroll through Employment Hero and assisting with onboarding
- Reconciliation of company expenses, purchases, and supplier payments
- Driving improvements in financial and HR systems and workflows
- Generating and analysing financial reports using Xero and Swyft
- Preparing project budget reports and identifying variances
- Supporting project budgeting and financial forecasting
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong experience in finance and accounting, particularly within a project-based environment
- Solid understanding of payroll and HR processes (training provided on Employment Hero)
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative approach
- Availability to work onsite in a part-time capacity (3 days per week)
- Expertise in Xero and Excel
