About The Company

Our client is a growing retail business with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand. With approximately 50 employees, they operate as part of a larger group and are committed to building a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. As the business continues to expand, they are creating a new HR Business Partner role to help shape culture, values, and people strategy across the organisation.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to design and implement people initiatives that strengthen the business and drive employee engagement.

Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with leaders to deliver HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Leading workforce planning, organisational design, and change management initiatives
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent development programs
  • Advising on employee relations, compliance, and performance management
  • Supporting culture and engagement initiatives, embedding values and promoting D&I
  • Hosting learning and development programs and supporting leadership capability
  • Providing input on compensation, benefits, and retention strategies
  • Ensuring health, safety, and compliance across the business
  • Occasional travel to New Zealand (once a quarter) to support the distribution centre and office

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar HR generalist or business partner role
  • Strong background across multiple HR functions including recruitment, L&D, ER/IR, and organisational design
  • Experience in an online or in-store retail business (desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, business, or a related field
  • Experience working across AU and NZ (desirable)

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cultural change
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel to New Zealand once per quarter
