About The Opportunity

The Deputy Clinical Manager plays a vital leadership role in overseeing the daily delivery of high-quality, multidisciplinary care. Working alongside the Clinical Manager, Clinical Care Nurse, and Care Team Supervisor, you will manage a team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Carers, and Therapy staff to ensure residents receive proactive, person-centred care.

Reporting directly to the Facility Managers, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting approximately 70+ clinical and care staff
  • Monitoring and improving standards of nursing and resident care
  • Overseeing compliance with clinical governance, WHS, and infection control practices
  • Ensuring accurate resident documentation and completion of care plans
  • Conducting audits on medication administration and care standards
  • Coordinating staff training, supervision, and performance appraisals
  • Leading by example and fostering a culture of professionalism and empathy
  • Assisting with policy development and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in aged care, mental health, or complex residential care (essential)
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
  • Strong leadership and team management experience with a diverse multinational team
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

You will also have:

  • Experience working with residents with mental health conditions, addiction, or behavioural challenges
  • Solid understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) guidelines and compliance
  • Current Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and up-to-date Flu and COVID vaccinations

You’ll bring resilience, empathy, and the ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced care environment. This is not an entry-level or graduate role, it requires clinical strength, emotional intelligence, and people management expertise.
