About The Opportunity
Reporting to the Equipment and Maintenance Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and mentoring a small team of 3 workshop staff
- Performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trailers
- Managing the service schedule and responding to breakdowns
- Maintaining compliance with NHVAS, NHVR, and safety standards
- Ensuring workshop resources, supplies and records are effectively managed
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised trade qualification as a heavy diesel mechanic or trailer technician
- 5+ years of trade experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Skills in welding, diagnostics, and servicing trailer combinations
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance requirements and NHVAS
- A strong, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
