About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to provide hands-on mechanical servicing, maintenance, and repair of Plate Heat Exchangers and associated equipment for clients across Melbourne.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Stripping, rebuilding, cleaning, and re-gasketing Plate Heat Exchangers
- Performing pressure washing, crack testing, and hydrostatic testing
- Supporting site-based maintenance and repairs, including occasional travel to client sites
- Assisting with goods receiving, dispatch, and workshop organisation
- Conducting preventative maintenance and responding to urgent breakdowns
- Maintaining strong customer service standards and a professional, positive attitude
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Trade qualification or hands-on experience in a mechanical servicing or workshop environment
- Experience with Plate Heat Exchangers (ideal) or similar industrial equipment
- A current driver’s licence (essential) and forklift licence (desirable)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn from experienced technicians
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit service team
