About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to support and manage mortgage advance matters while developing deep expertise within a highly specialised area of banking and finance law.

This is an ideal role for a graduate or early-career solicitor who wants to accelerate their legal career, gain meaningful responsibility, and earn well above market rates — all while working entirely from home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing mortgage advance files under the guidance of senior lawyers
• Applying detailed procedures for drafting, reviewing, and finalising documentation
• Liaising with lenders, brokers, and clients regarding mortgage transactions
• Working closely with Associates, Paralegals, and the Solicitor Director
• Utilising advanced technology, automation tools, and AI-assisted drafting systems
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progress across all matters
• Participating in weekly team meetings and ongoing legal training

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A law degree and eligibility for admission in Australia
• Strong academic performance and interest in banking & finance, commercial or property law
• High attention to detail and strong written communication skills
• A desire to grow quickly and take ownership of legal files
• The ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to follow detailed procedures
