About The Company
Our client is a highly regarded Australian agribusiness with a strong presence in the macadamia industry. With vertically integrated operations across cultivation, processing, and distribution, they are known for innovation, sustainable practices, and a commitment to quality. The Bundaberg site is home to a modern, high-throughput dehusking and sorting facility, capable of handling over 4,000 tonnes of nut-in-husk per year.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of a technologically advanced macadamia processing shed during the February to September harvest season. This includes dehusking, sorting, receivals and dispatch, logistics coordination, and efficient machinery operation.
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with farm managers and area manager to optimise scheduling and communication
- Leading seasonal site operations with a focus on throughput, quality, and safety
- Supervising seasonal team members during single and double shift operations
- Coordinating receivals, processing, dispatch and data entry for traceability
- Contributing to continual process improvement and system optimisation
- Ensuring compliance with OH&S procedures and food safety standards
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in agricultural processing, manufacturing or similar operational environments
- Comfortable with IT systems (spreadsheets, digital logs, troubleshooting basic tech issues)
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage seasonal teams
- A practical, proactive, and safety-focused mindset
- An LF Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Australian working rights
