About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to lead residential design projects from concept through to final documentation.

Reporting directly to the Owner, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Developing design briefs in consultation with clients and understanding their needs
• Measuring existing buildings for renovation projects and production of as existing drawings (3D modelling)
• Reporting project status regularly to the Owner and Administrator
• Producing concept designs aligned with client goals and budgets
• Resolving technical and detailing issues while maintaining design integrity
• Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and builders throughout the design process
• Producing detailed documentation for Development Applications (DA), Building Approvals (BA) and construction
  
  

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience with ArchiCAD (highly desirable)
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in building design, with 10+ years desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage a project end-to-end and work directly with clients
• A relevant qualification in Architecture, Building Design, or Architectural Technology (desirable)
• A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for site visits across Brisbane and occasionally SEQ
• Experience in creating and developing design briefs and responding creatively and economically to client needs
