About The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role with variety, autonomy, and the backing of an experienced and supportive team. It offers
career progression, with the opportunity to either become more technically specialised or take on greater responsibility
through leadership, client relationships, and business development as your experience grows.

In the role of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, servicing, commissioning, and maintaining refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs across a variety of sites
  • Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand regulations, codes, and industry standards
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, presentation, and professionalism
  • Communicating clearly with clients about job progress, issues, and recommended solutions
  • Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and replacement work in a timely manner
  • Completing administrative tasks related to job assignments
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and providing leadership to junior staff

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
  • Current Electrical Service Technician registration and licence
  • Proven experience in the installation and servicing of refrigeration & HVAC systems
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to participate in on-call after-hours service work
