About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Services Manager to take ownership of the planning, delivery, and profitability of multiple repainting and maintenance projects.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this senior role provides leadership across site teams and contractors while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end management of multiple maintenance and repainting projects
  • Leading site teams and contractors to ensure quality, safety, and productivity
  • Managing project handovers, scheduling, and workflow through Buildertrend
  • Monitoring job budgets, margins, progress claims, and contractor performance
  • Maintaining strong client communication and customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring full compliance with NZ Health & Safety legislation and internal systems
  • Conducting toolbox talks, safety inspections, and incident investigations
  • Coordinating resources, materials, site access, and logistics
  • Providing regular reporting to senior leadership on progress and performance
  • Driving continuous improvement across systems, safety, and delivery outcomes

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5–7+ years’ experience in project management within maintenance, repainting, or construction services
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of NZ construction contracts and service agreements
  • In-depth knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and margins
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full NZ Driver Licence

You will also ideally have:

  • Trade background in painting, coatings, or construction
  • NZQA qualifications in Project or Construction Management
  • Site Safe, SMSTS, or equivalent safety leadership training
