About The Company

Our client is a boutique residential design and drafting studio located just off the café strip in Mount Hawthorn. The team is small and tight-knit, consisting of just seven people including the Director, three current draftspersons, an interior designer, and an admin team member. With a relaxed, supportive, and collaborative work culture, the studio places high value on personality and team fit, alongside technical expertise. The team works together on all projects, shares knowledge, and supports each other in a culture full of laughter and professionalism.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to join the team as their 4th Draftsperson to support high-end residential projects.

Reporting directly to the Director, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and documenting luxury custom homes and boutique residential developments (townhouses/apartments) valued up to $4 million
• Collaborating with a team of experienced draftspersons, an interior designer, and external consultants
• Ensuring all documentation meets NCC, BCA, and relevant Australian Standards
• Contributing to the design process where applicable (depending on experience)
• Using ArchiCAD (including 4D library if experienced)

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential drafting (custom or high-end project homes)
• Relevant qualifications in drafting or architecture (TAFE or university)
• Solid knowledge of NCC, BCA and relevant Australian Standards
• Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD (4D Library experience desirable)
• Experience in either technical drafting or design-focused roles
• Strong team player with a collaborative attitude
• Valid Australian work rights
