About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to lead architectural drafting services while supporting structural drafting projects. You’ll manage your own workflow, liaise directly with clients and engineers, and deliver high-quality, compliant documentation.

Reporting to the Director and working closely with senior engineers as needed, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing projects from design brief through to IFC documentation
• Maintaining drafting standards and contributing to process improvements
• Producing structural and architectural drawings from sketches and concepts
• Supporting construction phases and assisting with observation or contract admin
• Applying NZ Building Code, design standards, and integrating site and consultant input
• Coordinating with engineers, fabricators, and consultants to ensure buildability and compliance

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong Revit or ArchiCAD capability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• LBP - Design Area of Practice 3 and Practice 3
• 10+ years’ experience in structural and architectural drafting
• Excellent knowledge of NZ construction, compliance, and detailing
• Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate with clients
