About The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, Director and Senior Management, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Performing servicing and repairs on heavy vehicles in accordance with company policies and safety standards
- Liaising with the Workshop Manager regarding completed work and upcoming jobs
- Supporting general workshop housekeeping and maintaining safe work practices
- Attending field breakdowns and performing on-site repairs when required
- Maintaining accurate service records and workshop documentation
- Conducting workshop maintenance, servicing and mechanical diagnostics
This role may involve occasional travel within the Newcastle to Goulburn region for field repairs and breakdown support.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Strong leadership qualities, role involves oversight of 3–4 mechanics within the workshop.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with management
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles
Highly regarded but not essential:

HC Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
