About The Opportunity
The Procurement Officer plays a critical role in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply of electrical and solar equipment essential for their projects. This position is pivotal in ensuring that reliable suppliers are selected and that purchasing processes are executed efficiently.
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers to secure quality goods at competitive prices
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to achieve the best value outcomes
- Oversee procurement from purchase requests through to order placement and delivery
- Monitor spending and control procurement costs to remain within company budgets
- Manage supplier relationships and forecast stock levels to support project demand
- Oversee solar equipment inventory, warehouse operations, logistics, and dispatch
About You
The successful candidate will have
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an industrial or similar procurement environment
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships effectively
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and cost control practices
- Strong computer skills with experience using SimPro or similar software
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the electrical industry is highly regarded but not essential
