About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day operation of the livestock enterprise while assisting across broader farm activities when required.

Working alongside a small and experienced team, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with livestock handling including mustering, drafting, yard work and general animal husbandry
  • Monitoring livestock health and supporting feeding, lambing and flock management activities
  • Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment where required
  • Maintaining fences, water systems, yards and other farm infrastructure
  • Supporting seasonal farm operations across cropping and general farm work
  • Ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a clean and organised work environment

This is a hands-on role within a mixed farming operation, offering a varied workload across livestock and general farm activities.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working on a livestock or mixed farming operation
  • Practical livestock handling skills and understanding of animal husbandry
  • Experience operating farm machinery and equipment (desirable)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • A current driver’s licence

Experience working with sheep enterprises and large-scale farming operations will be highly regarded.
