About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day operation of the livestock enterprise while assisting across broader farm activities when required.
Working alongside a small and experienced team, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with livestock handling including mustering, drafting, yard work and general animal husbandry
- Monitoring livestock health and supporting feeding, lambing and flock management activities
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment where required
- Maintaining fences, water systems, yards and other farm infrastructure
- Supporting seasonal farm operations across cropping and general farm work
- Ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
This is a hands-on role within a mixed farming operation, offering a varied workload across livestock and general farm activities.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working on a livestock or mixed farming operation
- Practical livestock handling skills and understanding of animal husbandry
- Experience operating farm machinery and equipment (desirable)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A current driver’s licence
Experience working with sheep enterprises and large-scale farming operations will be highly regarded.
