About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Store Manager in leading operations across three Melbourne Airport stores, ensuring high standards in customer service, team leadership, and operational execution.

Reporting directly to the Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development
• Leading, motivating, and supervising a team of 2–5 staff per shift
• Maintaining visual merchandising and premium store presentation
• Managing stock control including ordering, rotation, and stocktakes
• Overseeing opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and banking
• Driving sales performance through analysis and implementation of strategies
• Ensuring compliance with airport regulations, safety, and operational procedures
• Supporting ASIC processes, visitor passes, and airport compliance requirements
• Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster Monday to Sunday (6:30am – 9:00pm)
• Previous experience in a retail or hospitality leadership/supervisory role
• Experience with stock control, POS systems, and cash handling
• A proactive, hands-on leadership style with strong initiative
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead small teams of 2–5 staff
