About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee workshop operations while ensuring products are manufactured to specification and delivered efficiently.
Reporting directly to the General Manager / Sales Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising workshop production and managing a small team of welders
- Ensuring all products are manufactured to the required specifications and standards
- Reviewing drawings, processing work orders, and scheduling production
- Coordinating materials, stock levels, and workflow to meet deadlines
- Overseeing deliveries and ensuring goods are dispatched to site on time
- Maintaining safety, quality, and workplace standards across operations
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in welding or steel fabrication
- Cert III in Engineering Fabrication (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and identify issues
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Clear communication and ability to lead a team
- Experience with data entry, Excel, and basic systems (MYOB desirable)
- Current driver’s licence (forklift licence advantageous)
- A proactive, motivated, and hands-on approach
