About The Opportunity

As an Insulation Systems Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate daily installation activities across thermal, acoustic, and passive fire protection systems, ensuring safe execution, efficient workflows, and compliance with project specifications.This role supports the Navy under the Hunter Class Frigate Program, working on naval vessels to contribute to the construction of next-generation naval ships. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily insulation installation across thermal, acoustic, and fire systems
  • Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and workflow to maintain productivity
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work packs for planning
  • Ensure safety compliance including pre-starts, hazard controls, and permits
  • Manage quality outcomes including inspections, documentation, and close-out

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Supervisory experience in shipbuilding, marine, defence or industrial
  • Strong leadership capability with proven ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with effective planning and coordination ability
  • Strong problem-solving skills with adaptability in dynamic work environments
  • Commitment to safety, quality standards, and team accountability outcomes
  • Compliance with AS2214 certification requirements and industry standards
  • Compliance with ISO9712 certification requirements and inspection standards
  • Welding Inspector certification in accordance with AS9217 standards
  • Desirable: White Card, Forklift licence, and a valid Driver’s licence
